Kendriya Vidyalaya Fatehgarh Sahib came into its existence in 2010. It was founded under the auspices of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organisation which functions under the umbrella of the ministry for Human Resource Development. The main aim of Kendriya Vidyalaya is to provide excellence in education, through uniform syllabi, common textbooks and medium of instruction. The school is affiliated to CBSE and the medium of instruction for Science and Mathematics is English and for Social Science both English and Hindi.
